Fort Lauderdale Kappa House Community Center

The Fort Lauderdale Kappa House Community Center is a planned 32,000-square-foot new facility designed to serve the greater Fort Lauderdale community. The project is intended to provide a permanent community-centered space for programs, events, education, mentoring, and civic engagement.

The facility will support a wide range of community services for youth, seniors, women, and families. One of its major purposes is to provide a setting for young male mentoring and other programs that help inspire, guide, and support the aspirations of the local community.

The building is planned to include flexible spaces for large gatherings and multiple community events. These spaces may support lectures, graduations, meetings, and other public programs. The facility is also expected to include a computer lab, multi-use event space, lecture hall, and a commercial kitchen to support large events and community functions.

Terry Brooks, Jr., AIA, is serving as vice president and architect for the project. In this role, he is helping guide the planning and architectural direction for a facility that is intended to become a lasting community asset.

The project reflects a commitment to creating a meaningful civic and cultural destination for Fort Lauderdale. Once completed, the Kappa House Community Center will serve as a place where residents can gather, learn, celebrate, and access programs that strengthen the broader community.
